Welcome
Thank you for your interest in the RIBA.
We are a world-renowned, global organisation that operates as a professional membership body and a registered charity. We seek to bring architecture alive for the public, both in the UK and across the globe, encouraging people to engage with architecture and promoting education and training that will enhance the built environment. Supporting members and others to deliver better buildings and places, stronger communities and a sustainable environment is critical to our ability to deliver our charitable purpose. Our commitment to inclusivity, ethics, sustainability and promotion of the highest professional standards underpins all that we do.
However, our world is changing at pace and the context in which our people will be required to operate will be complex. Post pandemic, people and policymakers are more aware of the impact that places and spaces have on health and wellbeing and there are many other challenges and opportunities ahead that will also impact the profession and society in the coming years. The climate change emergency and likely regulatory reform following the outcome of the Grenfell Inquiry will both prompt change, alongside exciting innovation in new construction methods and the increasing role of digital, data and technology. Additionally, the profession’s growing diversity and competence are two strategic objectives that will underpin policy and operations at the RIBA moving forward.
In order for us to meet these needs and deliver exceptional services to our members, customers and the public, we are transformaing our organisation to be more efficient and agile, with the right culture and values that attracts and retains passionate and highly engaged people.
There has never been a more important or more interesting time to join, and we look forward to hearing from you.
